Indiana Leadership Conference

Welcome to the Indiana State Leadership Conference for 2016!

This conference will be hosted by The Game Annex in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Sunday, November 6th, 10am through 6pm. The Game Annex is located at the Jefferson Pointe shopping center at 4705 Illinois Road in Fort Wayne, IN 46804.

Who Can Attend?

This conference is for Level 2+ judges and has a cap of 15 attendees. We invite any Indiana Level 2 Judge to attend, along with any Great Lakes Region Level 3 Judge.

What are our goals?


We wish to accomplish three objectives. First, we want to provide a space where we can exchange ideas of how best to fill our roles as L2 judges in the program. Second, we want to begin plans for what our state goals should be for 2017, and beyond. Third, by way of close interaction throughout the day we want to foster community.

What will we be doing?

We will do something entirely new. As the collective leadership in the state of Indiana, we want everyone to play an active role in the conference. In lieu of traditional lectures and presentations, we will instead be holding panel discussions on a few selected topics.

Format of panels

At each panel, we will ask that two judges prepare a brief position statement (10 minutes or less) on a suggested topic, which we will then open up to everyone for discussion and Q&A. During each of these panels, we would also like a third judge to volunteer to take notes, moderate the discussion, and present a summary of the discussion at the end of each panel topic. [Hint: L3’s should make excellent moderators.] If deemed useful, position papers and chairs’ summaries could be uploaded to the GL web pages. The default schedule for each such panel is:

Fill the application including the questionnaire. No cover letter required; comments, however, are always welcome.

As a thank you from Wizards of the Coast, this conference will be foil supported. Therefore, please make sure to fill out your application early, and be prepared to give feedback throughout the day. In order to receive foil support, there is a hard and fast deadline set for this conference. 

Applications are due by Tuesday, October 4th, 10pm EST. No extensions, no, don’t even ask.
