Chicago Area Leadership Conference

Chicago and its surrounding suburbs boasts a population of 9.5 million residents, standing as one of the largest centers of population in the United States.  No surprise, that means a ton of retail locations running organized play events, which in turn makes organizing judges and managing the needs of the community a complex effort.  Add to this how spread out these stores are, and the rampant growth of the Magic product and OP as a result, and this only compounds the challenges we face.

With that said, I would like for us to gather together as a team to discuss our community, the challenges we faced this year, and get on the same page about developing new judges, building more quality experienced judges, working toward a much stronger officiating program in Greater Chicago in 2017.  You are the leaders of this area, so I invite you to come together to build this vision and plan.

We will be hosting this conference in my apartment.  This will be a foil supported conference.  I will cook copious amounts of food, and we will spend a good part of the day discussing many topics.  The evening will be reserved for either additional discussion or drafting/board gaming.  I will provide product for drafting, though what product will be used will remain a mystery.
