Preliminary PTQ (Standard)

We are seeking a Head Judge & Floor Judge for our Preliminary PTQ on Saturday, December 3rd. Judges need to be on site at 9:30am the day of the event, and can expect to stay until the conclusion of Swiss rounds. Pandemonium opens for business and registration at 10am, with round 1 starting at 11am. This event can be expected to conclude by 9pm.

Application

Head judges: Tell us what events you've head judged recently, especially if you've run any Preliminary PTQs. We're also interested to know anything unique about YOU as a head judge -- be it event philiosophy or just something fun you like to do at your events. Must be level 2 or higher!

Floor judges: Tell us what you'd like to learn from this event. If your recent Judge Apps profile history isn't up to date, please tell us what events you've recently judged in at Competitive REL. 

Standby judges: You'll receive free entry into the Standard Preliminary PTQ event. If the head judge and tournament organizer agree, you'll be activated onto judge staff for the event instead and compensated as a floor judge.

Compensation

Judges will receive 1 booster box of Standard or $85 store credit or $80 cash. Head judge will receive double this compensation.

So-Cal Burgers & Wraps will be provided for lunch to all staffed judges by the tournament organizer.

Attire

Mandatory attire is the standard judge uniform of black pants or slacks, black shoes, and a Magic Judge or Great Lakes regional shirt. A button down black dress shirt is also acceptable if you don't have access to official shirts.
