Strikezone in Houston, Texas is soliciting 1 Standby judge for our Standard $500 event on November 12th, 2016. The selected Standby judge will receive free entry into this event and be activated at 35 players and receive the compensation noted below.

Expectations

 All judges selected for this event are expected to arrive at the venue 1 hour before the start of the event (start time 12 noon). Judges should be familiar with common rules and card interactions in Standard, as well as the most recent versions of the Magic Tournament Rules and the Infraction Procedure Guide. 

All judges are expected to be available until the conclusion of the swiss rounds. If you are able to stay for part of top 8, or are unable to meet these expectations, please note this in your application.

The Magic Judge uniform consists of black pants with a black belt, black shoes, and a Magic Judge shirt or a plain black button-down or dress shirt. Also part of your uniform: a red pen, a blue or black pen, a notebook, some device capable of telling time, and a name badge, if you own one.

Compensation

Standby judges activated to Floor judges at this event will receive 1 booster box of an in-print set.  Lunch or Dinner will be provided.
