SCG Spring Regionals

East Coast Gaming is preparing for the SCG Modern Regionals in Raleigh, North Carolina and we need judges to apply to help us make the event a success.  All relevant information is as follows

Regional Championships

Start Time: 10 AM (Doors at 8:30 AM, call time at 8:25 AM)

Format: Modern

Head Judge: Geoff Drake - L2 - Chapel Hill, NC

Event Location :

Raleigh Convention Center
500 S. Salisbury St.
Raleigh, NC 27601

 There will be a PPTQ starting at 3:00 PM, it will need a head judge.

Expectations

Judges are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide, and Judging at Regular REL documents. These documents can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center. As representatives of East Coast Gaming and the Magic Judge Program, judges are expected to behave in a professional manner at all times. This includes arriving on time, and in appropriate attire - Black pants, Judge shirt, black socks, black shoes (I'm actually more concerned with judges having comfortable and functional footwear, we're on our feet for a lot of time please take care of yourself).

Compensation

Compensation at the Regional Championship is based on judge certification level and is paid in Compensation Units (CU).

• Level 1 Judges will receive 1 CU/day staffed.

• Level 2 Judges will receive 2 CU/day staffed.

• Level 3+ Judges will receive 2.5 CU/day staffed.

• If you're selected for Standby, you'll receive free entry to the event but may be asked to judge instead with appropriate comp. 

Each CU can be redeemed for one of the following:

• 1 box of any Standard Set

• $80 cash (Requires a completed United States tax form)

• $108 in East Coast Gaming store credit.

 Some judges will be offered standby positions.

All judges will also receive a Regionals playmat!
