Hi Judges! 

Le Mana Toxik, Le Valet d'Coeur, L'Expédition, and Le Beginner are looking for some keen staff for their very first collaborative event, the Festival de Magic de Montréal 2017!

Please find the event schedule below. In addition to these, on-demand events (both constructed and draft) will be firing all weekend.

PPTQs are Competitive REL and all other events are Regular.

Friday

13:00 – Doors open to the public

All day – Standard and Modern 8-man grinders (single elimination)

18:30 – Modern Super FNM (Swiss rounds only)

19:00 – Multiplayer Commander Tournament

Saturday

09:00 – Doors open

10:00 – PPTQ Aether Revolt #1: Standard (Swiss + top 8)

13:00 – Team sealed (4 Swiss rounds)

14:30 – PPTQ Aether Revolt #2: Standard (Swiss + top 8)

18:00 – Standard Super Game Day (Swiss rounds only)

Sunday

09:00 – Doors open

10:00 – PPTQ Aether Revolt #3: Sealed (Swiss + top 8 draft)

13:00 – Multiplayer Commander Tournament

14:30 – PPTQ Aether Revolt #4: Standard (Swiss + top 8)

 


 

Judge Requirements

 

Judges staffed on Friday are expected to arrive at 12:00. Judges staffed on Saturday and/or Sunday are expected to arrive at 8:30.  Judges will be expected to stay until the end of scheduled events each day (including top 8 playoffs).

As a judge, you are expected to:

Compensation

L2+ – 1.5 CU per day staffed

L1 – 1 CU per day staffed

A Compensation Unit (CU) can be redeemed for the judge’s choice of:

 
In addition to the above, lunch will be provided for all judges on staff.
 
Standby
 
Judges selected to be standby on any particular day will be expected to be present at the start of the day together will the rest of the judge staff. They will be notified no later than one hour after doors open whether they will be activated for that day or not.
 
If activated, standby judges will receive compensation according to their level as described above. If not activated, they will have the choice of one of the following:
 
  • free entry into any one event during the day (excluding team sealed); or 
  • cash compensation equal to the entree fee of any event held that day (excluding team sealed).
