General Information 

Welcome to our 1st MTG Battleground: Annapolis, located in Annapolis MD!

We are looking for two Head Judges  for both of our tournaments. If interested, please note it in your cover letter.  

Main Phase Modern 2K Head Judge: Michael Mapson 

Main Phase Standard 1K Head Judge: Zach Vivian

Final acceptances will go out on 3/13/17. 

Expectations

Judges are expected to review all necessary tournament documents and be familiar with tournament procedures including, but not limited to Magic Comprehensive Rules, Tournament Rules, Infraction Procedure Guide and Judging at Regular REL documents.

Judges are expected to bring black pants or skirt, comfortable shoes and belt (if necessary). Main Phase Gaming are providing judges tournament polos to wear, thus indicate your shirt size in the application.  As representatives of the Judge Program and Main Phase Gaming, judges are expected to remain professional at all times.

Judges are expected to arrive no later than 9:00 AM, and are expected to be fully rested and ready to work. Judges will be expected to work through the conclusion of the Quarterfinals on scheduled days.

Duties that will be expected of judges on staff include (but are not limited to): 
Taking Judge Calls
Logistical Duties
Line Management
Picking Up Trash
Pushing In Chairs
Performing Deck Checks
Posting Pairings
Venue Setup and Teardown
Running On-Demand Events

We also want you to have fun, so be prepared for that, too. 

Compenstation

All certified judges will receive compensation in cash at the time of completion at the end of the day. Payment is also dependent completion of a Federal W-9 that will be avaliable on site.

Compensation for certified judges is determined by level at time of application acceptance, and is outlined as follows.

Level 1 Judges will receive $120 cash or Aether Revolt/Kaladesh Booster box and Bundle 
Level 2 Judges will receive $200 cash or Modern Master 2017 Box or 2 Aether Revolt/Kaladesh Booster box
Level 3 Judges will receive $250 cash or Modern Master 2017 Box and Aether Revolt/Kaladesh Booster Bundle 

Head Judges will receive an Aether Revolt/Kaladesh Booster box, in addition to their compensation.
Scorekeepers receive Level 3 Judge compensation
