GP Prague 2014

This event will be held from 10th to 12th January 2014, with last chance trials being held on Friday. The format is Modern constructed.

There are three types of sponsorship that you can apply for, Volunteer, Room and Standby. When applying, please indicate ALL types of sponsorship you are willing to accept. You may apply for Saturday and Sunday, or all three days. All applicants must be available to work until at least 20:00 on Sunday but some judges may be asked to stay later. If you apply for Friday, you need to be available from 11:00 so please make sure you are able to be on site at that time.

Standby judges may be asked to work if attendance exceeds our expectations. If standby judges are not needed, they will receive free entry to the Grand Prix main event. The number of standby slots is limited to TBD. When you apply for this position, please provide your mobile phone number in your application.

If selected for room sponsorship, your hotel room will be paid from Friday night to Monday morning. If you wish to stay longer, you have to make the arrangements yourself. You will share the room with another judge (unfortunately we can't accommodate staying with a spouse/friend, etc.).

Additional room costs, food, taxis, etc. will not be paid for, but you will receive a food allowance of 400 CZK each day you work.

You have a better chance of being accepted if you are an active judge in your community and you speak Czech or Slovak. Judges not fluent in this language must speak English sufficient to operate in a tournament setting.

Please bring appropriate judging attire, including a black judge shirt and black trousers with belt. If you do not have a shirt, please let us know so one can be provided for you.

Compensation depends on your level and the amount of days you work. In addition to the number of booster boxes that will be published soon, you will receive a package of judge foils (dependent of level). Compensation will be settled when the GP top 8 has started, and is given in English product of the current set. Please make sure that you are able to take your compensation home with you from the event. Arrangements to ship product after the event are not possible.

Judges performing special roles within the event may receive extra product.

Please note that there will be NO judge conference on Friday of the GP this time.
