Indiana Leadership Conference - Q3 2017

Welcome to the Indiana State Leadership Conference - Third Quarter Edition for 2017!

Who Can Attend?

This conference is for Level 2+ judges and has a cap of 15 attendees. We invite any Indiana Level 2 Judge to attend, along with any Great Lakes Region Level 3 Judge.

What will we be doing?

We will be continuing the L2 Leadership Conferences held through 2017, in our third quarterly edition. As the collective leadership in the state of Indiana, we want everyone to play an active role in the conference. In lieu of traditional lectures and presentations, we will instead be holding panel discussions on a few selected topics.

Format of panels

At each panel, we will ask that a judge prepare a brief position statement (10 minutes or less) on a suggested topic, which we will then open up to everyone for discussion and Q&A. During each of these panels, we would also like a second judge to volunteer to take notes, moderate the discussion, and present a summary of the discussion at the end of each panel topic. If deemed useful, position papers and chairs’ summaries could be uploaded to the GL web pages. The default schedule for each such panel is:

Statement:                 10 min (up tp)
Q&A:                          50 min (up to)
              TOTAL:        60 min max

 Number of topics and discussions will be based on number of attendees, capped at 6 topics for discussion. 


How to apply

Fill the application including the questionnaire. No cover letter required; comments, however, are always welcome.

Foil Support Notice:

Foils will be handed out differently for the leadership conferences this year. As we will be having 4 over the year, we want judges to participate in continuing development in the state. So to receive foils, one must attend at least 2 of the 4 to receive a foil packet. These will be distributed at the end of the year, at or about the 4th leadership conference. We are looking into something for those that attend all 4.
