The Real Idaho State Championship

Thank you for your interest in judging this event.

We will be needing 2-4 judges for this event. We will be staffing 2 judges, and holding 2 judges on standby. Standby judges are welcome to plan on playing in the event with the understanding that if there is a high turn out they will be activated for the event and expected to judge.

Expectations

Judges will be held to a standard fitting of The Real Idaho State Championship.

Judge expectations will include, but not be limited to:

Showing up 45 minutes before the event starts in order to attend a judge meeting, help set up, and help assist registering players. (Standby judges too)

Showing up in uniform. Black slacks, black shoes, black belt, and official MTG Judge shirt if you have it, or a button down black shirt. (Standby judges need to have their uniform accesible to change into if needed)

Flexibility to work either the main event or side events.

Staying through the length of the event, both Saturday and Sunday, including the top 8. Breaks and a lunch session will be accommodated.

Attention to the event. When on staff you are working. Not playing, trading, on your phone, etc.

Compensation

Compensation is according to judge level.

If activated standby judges will receive compensation like a staffed judge.

Staffed judges will receive:

L1/L2; 1/2 Booster pack per player (Minimum 1 Box)

L0; 1/4 Booster pack per player (Minimum 1/2 box)

3-day pass to Gem State Gaming Convention ($35 value)

Standby judges will receive:

$5 off the price of the main event.
