Mock Tournament

Hello,

I'm excited to annnounce that the Central Region will be hosting a Mock Tournament on Labor Day, Monday September 4th. This should provide an awesome oppurtunity for L1s, especially aspiring L2s to get the chance to role play some real, live scenarios and experience what it is like to work on a team at a large event. The event will take place at Evanston Games and Cafe located at 1610 Maple Ae. in Evanston, IL. There will be a small venue fee of $5 that can be used as store credit to purchase items from the store including sandwhiches which are quite delicious. This event will NOT be foil supported.

If you wish to participate you may do so in one of three roles.

1.) Players will consist of primarily L2+ judges with significant Competitie REL experience wnd will be responsible for creating scenarios and acting them out.

2.) Team Leads will consist primarily of experience L1 judges and newer L2s. Team Leads will stick with a group of 4-5 judges and rotate through leading the different Teams; End of Round, Paper, and Deck Checks, and will also have the oppurtunity to serve as Head Judge and Scorekeeper.

3.) Judges will consist of L1s. You will be assigned to one of the Team Leads and work with them rotating through different teams in order to get a varied experience.

Applications for this event will remain open until August 13.

Staffing decisions will happen in waves. 

Wave 1 will end on June 18, and will consist of the selected Players
Wave 2 will end on July 23 and will finalize the Team Leads
Wave 3 will end on August 13 and will consist of the Floor Judge
