This event will be held September 1-3, 2017. The format is Standard.
Expected attendance 1000-1200 players. Information about the venue and its address will be provided in the next days.
You may apply for Saturday and Sunday, availability for Friday is a separate question but you won't be guaranteed to work for Friday. Shifts will be determined and communicated shortly after acceptance of applications. Particular requests could be presented and would be taken into account, but a change in the schedule is not guaranteed to be possible.
Applications are available for L2s and L3s only.
Your chances to be accepted are higher if you are flexible regarding timing and shifts. You should speak fluent English and be experienced in tournament environment. If you can speak other languages, especially Italian, please indicate that in your application, this would be a plus but is by no means a requirement.
Please bring appropriate judging attire, including a black judge shirt and black trousers with belt. If you do not have a shirt, there will be a separate google sheet to collect the shirts requests.
Standby judges
10 Judges will be selected as Standby.
If you're selected as a Standby Judge, you will be expected to show up on Friday and check in before 12:00 and you will be allowed to play all the scheduled events (except for the SUPER events and the PTQ) + 5 booster drafts for free that you can convert into the registration for the main event. However, if attendance is higher than expected, you will be enrolled on site to judge the main event or side events at any moment of the weekend.
If we enroll you to judge on Saturday but we unfortunately don't need you on Sunday, you will have the opportunity to play for free in constructed side events of your choice + 5 booster drafts on Sunday.
Compensation
Compensation depends on your level and the amount of days you work. Compensation is given in English product of the current set at that time and in cash (you’ll be required to sign a contract and pay taxes and contributions by yourself, according to your country’s regulations). Please make sure have sufficient space to take your product with you and to be authorized to work in Italy before applying!
Compensation rates are as follows:
- L2: 1,5 box + €75 per day
- L3: 2,5 box + €125 per day
All Judges selected with full sponsorship will receive:
- a goodie package, containing special and unique items, designed for GP Turin in limited numbers
- a free-entry coupon for any one of the on demand side events held during the weekend
This means that for example a L2 working Saturday and Sunday will receive:
3 Boxes, €150, a goodie package, and a free-entry coupon for a side event.
