Event Information
This tournament is to honor the memory of Scott Bunnell, who tragically lost his life as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on 6/17/2017. All proceeds from this event will be given to his family to help with the final expenses.
Event details
The main event will be Modern format, but there will be side events including the normal 8 player events you would expect to see at a large tournament plus some special format ones that Scott would have liked. Details incoming.
The main event will start at 11:00 AM. Judges will be asked to be on site an hour prior to this at 10:00 AM to help with setup.
Compensation
Because this is a charity tournament, I can't offer much in the way of compensation. All volunteers will receive lunch from the tournament organizer and perhaps some token comp depending on the pool of donated items.
Scott had a lot of friends in the Magic community. I was amazed at how large and wide his network was. If you're one of the people whose lives he touched, I'm sure he'd appreciate you coming to this event to play or help out.
