Arkansas Mini Conference

Basic Information:

I am happy to announce the Arkansas Summer Mini Conference. This will be a 1 day event, and will begin at 11 A.M. on Sunday, August 20th. It will be held at Imagine, in Sherwood, Arkansas.

Course of events:

-Presentation 1 (11:00 - 12:00)

-Break for Lunch (12:00 - 1:00)

-Presentation 2 (1:00 - 2:00)

-Presentation 3 (2:00 - 3:00)

-Presentation 4 (3:00 - 4:00)

-Presentation 5 (4:00 - 5:00)

-Mock tournament for L1 training

Presentations:

Conference will be comprised of 5 presentations of ~ 45 minutes, each one being followed by a short Q&A. The presenters will be, in no particular order, the 5 L2's from Arkansas: Anthony Wood, Nathaniel Thompson, Mike Horberg, Joe Edens, and Robert Forrest. Topics are TBD, but will focus on L1 issues

Cost:

Cost of attendance for the event is free.

Food:

Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue. Lunch will be on your own. Imagine is surrounded by multiple restaurants, including a Subway, Popeyes, and Sonic all within a 1 mile radius.

Foil Support:

Unfortunately, foils will not be available for this event. That said, large participation in this event will increase the chances of foil support for future events.

Testing:

Level one testing will be available. Those interested in testing should email Robert Forrest at robertforrest3113@gmail.com or contact their local L2 for screening and scheduling.

Mock Tournament:

The mock tournament will be modern format and involve the L2 presenters as players. Situations will be devised to help give L1's and L0's competitive REL experience with policy and rules issues. Those interested in participating in the tourney should contact Joe Edens at Jedijoe_10@yahoo.com
