Tournament Symposium - Magelings Games

Welcome to the 2017 Magelings Symposium.  Our central theme this year is tournaments.

This will be a mixed event highlighted with a "Training Tournament". As this is not an official conference, there is not official foil support but we will be providing swag to both presenters and attendees. The general targeted attendee is a judge with low-mid experience with tournament operations and rules. They will be floor and head judges within the tournament.

More experienced judges are also needed to be players in the tournament and seat on a panel.

The tournament will be run at "Compegular", meaning judges will be challenged to answer calls under the IPG but all information is treated as Regular. You may be asked to explain how to properly cast a spell to the opponent before issuing a GRV (Games Rule Violation). Or perhaps a how large a creature is and how layers work over a Missed Trigger. Presenters may be part of the panels and will be active players within the tournament. Fuller descriptions for these roles are located on the Google application form.

10am - Doors open
10:15 - Opening remarks
10:30 - Investigations Seminar
11:30 - Tournament Compegular Rules Enforcement
1:30 - Lunch (quick food is a block away)
2 - Panel Discussion - Tournament Review
3 - Trivia Night (with fabulous prizes)
