Event Information
Welcome to Scandinavian Open!
Welcome to a great weekend in Stockholm. You will be part of running a tournament that hopefully will grow to become to Scandinavia and the Nordic region what SCG Opens are to USA and Bazaar of Moxen is to France and surrounding areas.
Regarding application:
Please write a little something about your experience in the cover letter. Also write if you require a judge shirt.
It is usually nice to set a goal for yourself going into an event. If you have any goals or just something else you would like me to know about anything, include it in the letter.
It is competitive REL so please let us know a little about your experience judging such events.
We will only accept applications for both days of the tournament.
We can unfortunately not provide any travel stipends but we have a discount code for travel by train.
We do not have any room sponsorships but if you need room, please write that in your cover letter and I will try and find a judge or player that can accommodate you.
Compensation:
There will be a display of Theros for each judge for the two days worked. Also, there will be two meal tickets/day.
We will also do our best to run a 30 SEK staff draft at some point during the weekend.
Standby:
We will make use of the standby system.
If you get accepted as a standby, you will be required to be on site with the other judges. If we do not get enough players to be able to compensate another judge, you will be allowed to participate in the Sealed event for the fee of 100 SEK or the Standard event on Sunday for free.
We will attempt to let judges know as soon as possible whether we require them to judge.
Staff dinner:
On Friday 3:d of January we will have a staff dinner.
It will take place at a place called King Tan, which offers Asian cuisine. I recommend the Mongolian BBQ buffé or Sushi buffé.
