MTG Preliminary PTQ: Rivals of Ixalan 2018

Format: Modern
Registration: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Start: approximately Noon

Judge Call: Judges need to arrive at least 30 minutes before registration ends for the event they are judging.

This is a preliminary PTQ and our area has generally averaged about 20 players recently (as low as 8, as high as 36). Since this season is Modern, we are expecting a higher turn out.

We are looking to staff not only a Level 2 Head Judge, but also a Level 1 Floor Judge. We are expecting a higher attendance for this season's PPTQs. However, the compensation for the judges will vary based on attendance because of the recent low turn out for PPTQs prior.

When applying please let us know if you have worked an Atlantis event before or if you have worked with judges that have.

Compensation is listed below in addition to meal compensation up to $10:

• 8-16 Players: $150 in credit for the Head Judge, and $50 in credit for the Floor Judge.
  
• 17-32 Players: $175 in credit for the Head Judge, and $75 in credit for the Floor Judge.
• 33+ Players: $200 in credit for the Head Judge, and $100 in credit for the Floor Judge.

Since we know there are a lot of events that need L2s we would like to have a standby head judge. If you are willing to be standby you will get $25 credit or free entry into the event.
