Judges Required

This is a solicitation two floor judges and one reserve judge for Scottish Nationals held by Geek Retreat in Glasgow. You must be a certified judge. All judges are likely to be judging the main event for at least some of the day, and should therefore be experienced in playing or judging the Standard and current HOU/AKH draft formats.

There will also be a Modern PPTQ side event which begins at the start of round 4, so if you have a preference for head judging this, please let me know in your cover letter.

Compensation

The compensation for this event will be one Hour of Devastation booster box for activated judges; standby judges who are not activated will gain free entry to Nationals or a side event of their choice.

Note: If you would prefer to wait and receive an Ixalan booster box upon release, please let us know ahead of the event and we can likely make this happen.

Timing and Availability

Judges are expected to be on-site from 9:45am with the main event starting at 10:30am. You will be expected to stay until at least the end of the main event quarter finals (estimated around 8pm), and may be required later depending on side event attendance.

If you have any restrictions on when you can arrive, or how late you are able to stay, please state this in your application.

Judge Testing

There will be testing opportunities for Level 1 candidates available at this event, but only by prior arrangement. If you know anybody who would like to test for Level 1, please contact Daniel De Swarte on Facebook or through the Judge Apps site.
