Mid-Kent Invitational and Win-a-Box

On Sunday 3rd December, we will be hosting the Invitational event for the 3rd season of the local Mid-Kent Open Series in Maidstone. So that nobody is left out, there will be another tournament running alongside it for everyone who was not able to qualify during the season. This additional tournament will be a Win-a-Box, with a box of Rivals of Ixalan for the winner, in addition to a large prize pool for everyone else.

Both events will be Standard-format, and will be run at Competitive Rules Enforcement Level, with decklists.

The Invitational has 16 players qualified and the Win-a-Box, while uncapped, will expect to have around 30 players.

Requirements

As such, I am looking for two judges, one to head judge each event. There will be other tournament staff available to help with deck checks, scorekeeping and other admin as needed.

You should expect to be required from around 10:30am until up to 8-9pm. It is of course possible (and hopefully likely) that we will finish ahead of this time.

These positions are open to any certified judges who wish to apply, regardless of level, although previous Comp-REL experience would be preferred. Please mention prior experience in your cover letter.

It is also possible that an additional judge may be required as a standby. If you are chosen as a standby, you will receive free entry to the win-a-box event. If activated, you will receive normal compensation.

If you do not want to be considered as a standby, please say so in your cover letter.

 
Compensation

Compensation for the day will be one box of standard-legal product (please select during application) and lunch/drinks.
