Colorado Area Judge Conference and Comp REL Bootcamp

So we're doing a regional Judge Conference with foils!  This conference is mostly geared towards getting L1's the experience they need to become L2's and will include a mock tournament.  There will also be things for l2+'s as well.  L2+'s we will need you to be participants in the mock tournament.  We also need presenters for three presentations.  2 need to be geared towards teaching L1's the various aspects of Comp Rel tournaments and the other 1 will be working with other judges and how to give feedback.  If interested in doing a presentation on any of these topics or playing in the mock tournament, please include this in your cover letter.

Tentative Schedule:

8:30am Introduction

9:00am Keith Boyle Running a smooth tournament and a TO's perspective.

10am Michael Fletcher How to ballance fun and professionalism at an Event

11am Bryan Spellman Mentoring at Tournaments and Giving good Feedback

12pm Lunch

1pm Mock Tournament Round 1 HJ Matt Marheine Emphasizing General Logistics (Match slips, pairings, appeals, writing out penalties)

2pm Mock Tournament Round 2 HJ Justin Miyashiro Emphasizing Deck Checks

3pm Mock Tournament Round 3 HJ Shane Luke Emphasizing Investigations

4:30pm Closing

We hope to be done by 5pm that way if anyone is traveling for the holidays later that evening they still have time to do so.
