EVENT INFORMATION
Good day Magic Judges!
Neutral Grounds’ Gold Rush is a two-day event and will be held on December 2 (SAT) and December 3 (SUN. The event will be held at the Century City Mall Activity Center.
The main event will be Standard Constructed and will be held on Day 1 (12/2). The tournament organizer has set a player cap of 350-400 players to ensure that everyone will be seated comfortably at the venue. Tentatively, 9 Swiss rounds will be played on Day 1 and we will cut to Top 8. The Top 8 Playoff will be on Day 2.
Additionally, there will be side events on Day 2 for Modern, Standard, Limited and Legacy. For the moment, the organizer has stated that they will delegate the Legacy event to a different group and so the Modern, Standard, and Limited side events will be our primary concern. However, it has been determined that the TO will request us for head judges for both the standard rebound and legacy events.
COMPENSATION/REFRESHMENTS
Compensation will come in the form of booster packs at the rate of 1 booster pack for every 3 players to be divided equally amongst the judges.
Food and drinks are usually provided throughout the day by the tournament organizer. We will be taken care of. :D
ATTIRE
We will be using the SEA Judge Shirt for both days. Should you need to borrow a shirt for the event, kindly indicate this in your cover letter as well along with your shirt size so that we can source a shirt for you.
EXPECTATIONS BEFORE THE EVENT
Kindly promote the event like it's your birthday. Plug it na lang when you can and mention it to your friends. Every judge has his own network of Magic players. Let's leverage that. Thanks judges!
