Midland PPTQs Jan-Apr 2018

Hi Everybody,

Due to other pending commitments early next year, I am unable to judge PPTQs for the next season at stores that have solely relied on me to schedule and run PPTQs on their behalf.

All of these stores have worked with me previously to pro-actively choose dates that have worked for both me and themselves whilst naturally avoiding clashes (due to self-duplication technology being substantially underdeveloped at the moment...).

With the scheduling window currently open, I am looking for one or two judges to work with these stores to schedule their Jan-Apr PPTQ and commit upfront to working with them. (To clarify, the workload of these 5 stores will be split among all the judges chosen and judges will only need to work with the store(s) assigned to him/her)

The average attendance of these PPTQs is 24 players. Payment for each event is set at £75 plus up to £15 towards expenses (an invoice is required): the judge is expected to be able to HJ and SK the event on their own (some stores may have staff members that can help out in some capacity). There may be requests for L1 testing which is up to the discretion of the judge to follow through on.

These are the current stores, along with any extra details:

Leamington Spa: The Games Den (Either Sat/Sun, free snacks and drinks, store owner can SK)
Coventry: Escape Games (Sat 7 or Sat 14 Apr only. The assigned judge needs to SK and manage the event on their own)
Coventry: Young's Hobbies (Saturdays, free snacks and drinks, The assigned judge needs to SK and manage the event on their own)
Rugby: Shadow Games (Either Sat/Sun, free snacks and drinks, The assigned judge needs to SK and manage the event on their own)  Shadow Games is no longer running PPTQs
Nottingham: The Dice Cup (Either Sat/Sun, free Wetherspoons Breakfast, free vegan snacks & drinks on site, Judge will work with a L1 FJ and the TO will be SK, option to go to Reds steak house after)

Evesham: Big Orbit Games (Sat 10th Feb, free snacks and drinks, staff member can SK)

The requirement for the judge is as follows:

• Establish contact with the store representative (whom I will introduce you to)
• Work with the store to choose a date that both the store and judge can commit to, paying attention to local clashes & some national events (RPTQs and European GPs are a non-factor here, unless the judge plans on attending!). There will be approximately two weeks left in the schduling window at this time.
• Promote and run the event (of course!)
