Asgards Golden Ticket for GP Houston

On behalf of Asgard Games, we are excited to host a unique event.  Channel Fireball is sponsoring an event that will grant the winner a free entry to the main event for GP Houston!  On top of the main prize, Asgard Games will be providing Prize Support for at least the Top 8 of the event.  This should be a very successful event.

This will be a Competitive REL Event

Applications: The TO and I will select 1 floor judge and 1 standby judge for this event.  These events are great opportunities to gain some useful experience with Competitive REL events.  Regardless of your experience, you are encouraged to apply as this event will be a great experience.  Asgard Games has always held events to the highest regard and makes sure their Judges are well taken care of.  

Compensation will be 1 box of product or 100 dollars cash at the choice of the judge.

Event time: Registration at 9, Judges report at 8:30, event begins at 10

EXPECTATIONS

Judges volunteering for this event are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Comprehensive Rules, Magic Tournament Rules, and Infraction Procedure Guide. each of which can be found at the Magic Judges Document Center. Judges are also expected to behave in a professional manner at all times, as representatives of Asgard Games and the Magic Judge program. This includes arriving on time, and in appropriate attire. 

Judges are expected to stay until the conclusion of the Swiss rounds. 

The dress code for judges at this event is an official judge shirt (black collared shirt if you do not have one), black pants (dress pants), a belt, and comfortable shoes (both preferably black). Judges should not be in uniform while off-duty, including during breaks and while trading.
