Hunter Burton Memorial Open

The fifth annual Hunter Burton Memorial Open will attract more than 250 players. We are looking forward to a large staff including some standby positions for this very special one day event that takes place on Sunday, February 25, 2018.

We are playing Modern for the Swiss rounds as well as the top eight. Registration begins at 8:00am with a player's meeting at 9:00am. Judges need to be ready to go at 8:00am. Please wear the standard uniform of black judge shirt with black or dark trousers. If you do not have a black judge shirt please wear a black shirt of some kind. It's possible that you will be able to borrow a judge shirt after you arrive. 

This event is a Star City Games IQ and will be run at Competitive REL.

Top-notch judging is an important part of making this event special. The Hunter Burton Memorial Open can't be successful without your hard work.

Compensation

L2 Team Lead / PPTQ Head Judge - $200

L2 Floor Judge - $150

L1 Floor Judge - $100

All Judges - $20 to cover lunch

Three L2 judges will be needed for Team Lead positions. One L2 floor judge will move over from the main event to Head Judge a Standard PPTQ in the side event area.

Each judge will also receive various promotional items including the 2018 Hunter Burton Memorial six-sided die, a pen, a commemorative t-shirt and, of course, commemorative poker chips. Please include your t-shirt size in your application. Only 31 dice will be created for this event.

L2s, please indicate whether or not you are interested in the Head Judge position for the Standard PPTQ later in the day.

Standby

We will need up to four standby judges, they will be activated at different stages of attendance starting at the 350 player mark. If you accept a standby position and are not needed to work, you may play in the main event for no charge.
