2018 Spring GA Minicon

Hello everyone and welcome to the first GA Minicon of 2018! We have some exciting stuff on our plate for this one that I know you’ll enjoy. This conference will be held on March 18th at Marco’s in Macon, GA. But wait, Starr, did you just say… that’s right! PIZZA CONFERENCE!! Getting hungry for more information? Let’s see what’s in store.

The focus on this conference is testing and growth of L0s and L1s, which means there is a lot to gain for those of you that are new to the program and those that want to learn more.

TESTING you say? For those interested in testing at this conference, make sure to check out the requirements for L1 (https://blogs.magicjudges.org/o/judge-levels/)  and fill out the appropriate questions in the application. You must notify me (ninja_starr314@yahoo.com) no less than 2 weeks before the conference with information detailing your requirements have been met.

Presenters! Presenting is fundamental to the growth and education of judges at a conference and we need your help to put on the best ones. Presentations are open to L1s as well, so feel free to take that step and help others learn from your knowledge and experience. Fill out this google form with details about your presentation. FOILS - Foils will be provided to certified judges attending this event, up to a cap. You must be a certified L1 or higher at application deadline to recieve foils. While I highly doubt we will reach this cap, preference will be given to state judges with this in mind.

But what fun would a pizza conference be without pizza?? We are currently working on a deal with Marco's on pizzas, more details on that later.

Depending on the number of applicants and available space, preference will be given to GA judges before out of state judges. I am super excited to have a conference in Middle GA, and I hope to see some new faces here. This is a great opportunity for new and experienced judges to learn or teach others so don’t let this opportunity slip through your fingers.
