ManaSlam Austin Round 2!

ManaSlam is a new Magic event being held in Austin, TX on April 28th and 29th, 2018. Shifts for each day will be between 8-10 hours. Please read the enitire application carefully before applying.

The application window closes on Friday, March 16th, 2018.

Expectations

ManaSlam is a two-day event consisting of a main event each day (Modern and Standard, respectively) and several side, on-demand and new player events. This application is for the following roles:

• Scorekeeper
• Head Judge
• Floor Judge
• Prize Wall

If you are selected for staff, the forum will contain important information regarding the event and you are encouraged to check it periodically for updates. If you have any questions about the event or your application, please send them to spencer.rodriguez@me.com.

Compensation

• Exclusive Event Playmat - Art is currently being commissioned and this will be unique to the event
• Free entry into the main event for the days you are not working if not selected for both days or are on Standby
• $125 per day worked for Floor Judges and support staff
• $175 per day worked for Main Event Head Judge

Status Types

You may apply for one or both statuses: Confirmed or Standby.

• Confirmed means that you are confirmed to work the event. Staffing needs vary day-by-day, but we will do our best to post staffing as soon as possible after final selections are made.
• To apply for Confirmed status, please select "Full Sponsorship."
• Standby means that you are not confirmed to work on any day, but that you agree to show up and be "activated" as necessary. You will be included in forum communications, and we may activate you before the event begins. If you are not activated in advance, we encourage you to show up and play.
• To apply for Standby status, please select "Standby."

Please apply for all status types you will accept. If you select both Confirmed and Standby, we will consider you for Confirmed staff first. If you select Confrimed but do not select Standby, we will not consider you for Standby.

Paperwork

You will need to fill out and sign Form W-9 and a contractor agreement before the event. An email with details will be sent out after selections are made.

Hotel & Travel

Travel to the event and lodging is your responsibility. More details will be posted as they become available.
