Southern / South East Judge Conference

Time for another local conference in the South. For this one the Southern and South-East areas are teaming up to offer a local conference hosted at The Dice Saloon in Brighton. This is a one-day conference targeting existing L1 judges who wish to learn from others more about judging, rules and to get together and remind ourselves that we are part of a larger community. Higher levels are of course most welcome to attend and provide their experience and company but should be aware of the contents target audience.

We aim to have a number of sessions targeting both hard and soft skills, anyone who has topics they would like to see covered please make sure to let us know in your application or by email after so we can aim to meet as many needs as possible. Those who would be willing to present there is a section on the application for you to, you don't need to be an experienced presenter to apply for this as we will be aiming to offer a mix of opportunities for people to get thier first chance as well as some more experienced presenters. Those wishing to present though will need to have their application in by the end of January.

The Judge Program will provide certified judges (level 1 and above) who register before the deadline, and attend and actively participate in the conference, with a gift of promotional foil cards selected by the Judge Program.

Last year we arranged a meal after the conference, I will post a thread nearer the time to gather interest for those who want to carry on socialising after the conference.

We will aim to have a schedule of seminars before the second week in February.
