Legion Games Born of the Gods Prerelease

This is the event for the multi-event Born of the Gods prerelease running at Legion Games.

General Info

• The product listed is based on the assumption that WotC will continue to make pre release specific packs for the event. If they do make a change, I will update the information.
• All event times listed are start times. Registration will open for each event 1 hour before start time and close 15 minutes before
• Buying/selling is allowed only by authorized dealers onsite. Trading is permitted but no cash may be involved
• The sealed events are *not* run in pod format. All players will be in a single tournament up to the maximum available (200 players for the individual swiss events)
• Beginners are encouraged to play in the Open Dueling format, it’s low competition and casual, good for getting your feet wet

Midnight Madness Sealed 2/1/14
Start time: 12:01am Saturday morning, Reg at 11pm Friday night.
Entry fee: $30

Format: 4 rounds swiss
Prizes: 2 Packs per player in the prize pool
Prize Structure:
4-0 = 8 packs
3-0-1 = 6 packs
3-1 = 4 packs
2-2 or better 1 pack

Sealed 2/1/14
Start time: 10:00am Saturday morning, Reg at 9.
Entry fee: $30
Operation product: Born of the Gods Prerelease Pack!
Format: 4 rounds swiss
Prizes: 2 Packs per player in the prize pool

3-0-1 = 6 packs
3-1 = 4 packs
2-2 or better 1 pack

2HG Sealed 2/1/14 and 2/2/14
Start time:Approximately 3pm Saturday afternoon, Reg at 2pm. This event will start when the 10:00am sealed event has finished allowing players to play in both events if they wish.
Start time: 3pm Sunday afternoon, Reg at 2pm
Entry fee: $30 per player, $60 per team.
Operation product: 2 Born of the Gods Prerelease Packs!
Format: 3 rounds swiss
Prizes: 2 Packs per player in the prize pool
Prize Structure:
3-0 = 6 packs per player on the team
2-1 or better 3 packs per player on the team

Sealed Sunday 2/2/14
Start time: 11:00am Sunday, Reg at 10am.
Entry fee: $30

Open Dueling 2/1/14
Start time: 2pm – 4pm Saturday
Entry fee: $15
Operation product: 1 Born of the Gods Intro Pack.
Format: Open League play (unrecorded games against other sealed or League players)

Due to changes in Wotc Policy, we are no longer allowed to run drafts at prereleases. We apologize to those of you who really love the drafting, as soon as we are allowed to by the rules we operate under, we will gladly do so again, but for now, no drafts at prereleases

We are looking for eight to eleven judges for this event, and head judging opportunities for the different events are available.  Please mention any requests in your application.

Judges should should up for the event they are scheduled for at the time registration opens.  If you are planning on playing in one event and judging another there will be plenty of gap time between the events to make that happen.

Attire will be Legion shirts - please wear an undershirt you feel comfortable wearing under a Legion shirt and the shirt will be provided for the day.

Compensation will be one pack per player entry for the weekend, divided among the judges by the judge manager (Rob McKenzie), the numbers to be deternimed after the 2HG fires on Saturday.
