Nerd City 3k

Nerd City proud to be hosting a Modern Format 3K cash prize event.  Cash prize of this sort are rare and to have it locally sponsored in Red Deer makes it doubly rare.

Due to the high value prizing this event will be run at comptetive REL applying the IPG.

We are looking for four (4) floor judges and two (2) standby judges.  All judge levels are welcome.  We are currently planning for 100 players and will activate the stand-by judges at 120 and 150 players.

Judges receive their choice of $130 cash or $175 in store credit.

Standby judges that are not activated will receive free entry into the event.  If activated the standy judges will receive full compensation.

Arrive at venue: 9:30 AM
Judge meeting: 9:45 AM
Registration: 10 AM - 10:45 AM
Event start: 11 AM
Expected number of rounds: 7
Expected top 8 start: 6:30 PM

Expectations for the event include:

• Answering judge calls and rules questions
• Maintaining the play area for players (picking up trash, keeping table numbers organized, etc.)
• Staying current with recent policy changes
• Deep familiarity/understanding of all Rules & Policy documents
• Professional demeanor and attire
