So you can't go to Nationals...

While folks in Ontario aren’t always aware, Canada is actually HUGE, and that means there are going to be plenty of judges celebrating our nation’s birthday--some in black, some in red--across the country. We’re looking for motivated folks to assist us in pulling off the Mother, Mother of all country-wide parties for Canadian judges who won’t be in Toronto that day.

Foil support will be provided to help folks provide a venue and/or edutainment to their guests. If you think you can find 4-5 (OR MORE) other judges around you to put together a Canada Day party, read on!

What are we gonna do?

Party, of course! The specifics are mostly up to you, but we’re going to need to have at least 4-5 *certified* judges (L0s are welcome too, but to qualify for foil support, you must have certified folks attending) doing something Magic + Canada Day related. Be reasonable with your plans, and if you can make some time to talk Judging, even better!

We’re planning a coordinated celebration of our nation’s birthday via Google Hangouts or Discord, so once our party hosts are identified, we’ll iron out the specifics. (Maybe we’ll claim the entire country in the name of our illustrious RC!) Otherwise, play games, hang out, eat some food, and have your beverage of choice with good company! Just watch out for them Little Bones!

The Hype Team will send some goodies your way to make the event a memorable one!

Where is it gonna be?

Once again, the plan is EVERYWHERE! A restaurant? A game shop? A bar? We’ll be together online and in spirit, and anyone not attending Nationals is welcome to create an event.

All day long, July 1st, follow the #showyourred hashtag on Instagram and Twitter to chat with Canadian judges across the country. We’re working hard to provide Canadian Judge Apparel before Canada Day so you can all #showyourred in true judge style!

Each event host will be invited to a Google Hangout or Discord Server so that throughout the day, we can all chat, check in on the Nationals event, and bond from sea to shining sea!
