Compensation and Expectations
Certified juges volunteering at this event will be compensated with one box of a recent Magic set or cash equivalent. Drinks, snacks, and a modest food stipend may be provided. This is all at the Tournament Organizer's discretion.
The tournament is scheduled to start at 10:00am and judges are expected to be at the venue half an hour beforehand to assist with registration, and for any applicable meetings with the Head Judge and Tournament Organizer. Judges will be required to stay until the conclusion of the Swiss rounds. Some judges will be selected to judge for the Top 8 playoffs if applicable. Please note in your application if there is anything that would prevent you from attending between these hours.
Please be aware that with player numbers in excess of 226, there will be nine rounds of Swiss. Ensure that your travel and lodging arrangements are adequately arranged to account for this. Such arrangements are not handled by the Tournament Organizer.
Dress code for the event is standard Magic Judges attire: black judge shirt (if you do not own one, please inform the staff once selections have been made), black trousers (jeans are acceptable), black belt, and black shoes or trainers. Judges should not be in uniform while off-duty (this includes breaks).
Testing for Advancement
