Judges!
With the return of Nationals, we've decided to do something similar and run a judge-specific variant!
This event is designed to give judges who don't get a chance to play at Competitive Rules Enforcement very often an opportunity to do so, as well as giving more people an opportunity to judge at a larger Competitive Rules Enforcement Level event.

The formats will be a combination of Modern and Draft in the Swiss, with a Modern top 8.

There will be a bar on-site, and we aim to have the Pro Tour streaming when it's live.
We also are planning either a dinner or Pro Tour & Pizza on Saturday evening, which anyone would be welcome to attend.

The intent is to start the enwelcoming at 10:30, and the draft at 10:45.

Players

If you're interested in playing in this event, please apply choosing "Playing" in your application. (you don't need a cover letter if you're not interested in judging).
When accepted, you'll be able to access the registration link.

Entry will be £25.
The swiss portion of the tournament will include 3 rounds of draft and at least 3 rounds of Modern, and the top 8 will be Modern.
Lunch will be included. Please mention if you have any dietary requirements.

We are planning to put a lot into prizes, including Judge Foils and Boosters, and a trophy/belt/handshake for the winner.
The full prize selection will be announced closer to the event.

We are proud to be sponsored by both Channel Fireball and Ultimate Guard for this event, so all players will receive a playmat, sleeves and a deckbox as part of their entry fee.

Additionally, all players who make the Top 8 will receive an exclusive Judge Nationals 2018 Top 8 playmat!

Judges

PLEASE NOTE: Judges have now been selected for this event. Applications to judge will no longer be considered.

We will be looking for a Head Judge and 1 floor judge as a minimum, along with a selection of standbys, to be activated at thresholds of each 20 players after 50.

Compensation for the day will be a minimum of £75 + lunch for each judge.
The Head Judge will receive an additional £25.

We aim to have selected a judge team soon after the start of July, so if you wish to judge, please get your application in before the end of June.
Applications will remain open after this to allow people wanting to play to continue to apply.
