Team RPTQ and Legacy Masters - Axion June 23rd-24th

Hello Judges, this is the solicitation for the upcoming RPTQ Weekend hosted by Axion Now in Milton Keynes on the 23rd and 24th of June. We have two main events, Legacy Masters on the Saturday with dual lands galore to be won and a Myriad of top 8s to be played and the long anticipated Team RPTQ on the Sunday where each qualified player can bring two friends to play in Team Unified Standard for a shot of winning the coveted single invite for that team to go to the 25th Anniversary Pro Tour! We will also have side events running throughout the weekend including pick up events and Axion's premium chaos drafts.

As always Axion are looking for judges willing to go above and beyond to provide a great experience for players. We welcome applications from judges of all levels and ranges of experience both within and outside of the game!

Judge Selection will be published on May 24th  to give plenty of time for travel and accomodation arrangements to be made!

SCHEDULE

*UPDATED* The report time for Saturday will be 9.30am for judges, with the judge meeting starting promptly at 9.45am. 
The report time for Sunday will be 10.00am, with the Judge meeting starting promptly at 10.15am.
There may be the need for HJs and Scorekeepers to be available before this time.

For the Legacy Masters on Saturday we are hoping to get as close as we can to 200 players and 8 rounds. For this event it is important that judges have a high understanding and preferably a familiarity with the format.
Also on the Saturday we will have the Last Chance Qualifier (essentially a PPTQ) and a practise event for those qualififed for the next day.

On the Sunday David Lyford-Smith will be Head Judging and we will be needing a much larger staff that the average RPTQ (as we have 3 times the number of players!) to support him. Also due to the nature of team events while we expect fewer judge calls than you might expect from the number of players we do anticipate an incresed number of appeals and so, for the first time, we are looking for an Appeals Judge for this event.


ROLES AVAILABLE + COMPENSATION

You are welcome to apply for as many days/roles as you are interested in. Please be aware that some key roles may be assigned before the application deadline, so if you're really keen to do something specific get your application in early. We would also like to ensure that judges have a reasonable level of format knowledge coming into this event so please be aware of that expectation when applying. 
Base compensation will be 1 box of Dominaria per judge per day and a lunch stipend some roles have an increased base compensation rate that is listed below. Judges also will have the choice to apply for the Top 8 shift on each day, judges on the top 8 shift will recieve an additional dinner stipend and longer lunch break. The compensation bonuses available for each day are also listed below and will be awarded to every staff member in addition ot their base compensation rate if event goals are met.

Saturday
Legacy Masters HJ (Experienced L2+) - 2 Boxes  
The Head Judge role will not only involve duties on the day but also will require some prior planning and co-ordination to assign team lead roles and assure smooth running on the day.

LCQ HJ (L2+) - 1.5 Boxes

Additional Saturday Compensation: 1 additional box of Dominaria if ~226 players attend (Across all events that day) 
(We are also looking in to the possibility of having a lower compensation increase level for an additional half box but are yet to have the opportunity to work this out)                                                          

Sunday

RPTQ Appeals Judge (VERY Experienced L2+) - 2 Boxes
For this role priority will go to L3 applicants or L2s with a great deal of HJ experience at large (150+ player) events. 

Additional Saturday Compensation: 1 additional box of Dominaria if ~226 players attend. (Given usual that usual UK RPTQs attract 80 players we expect to more than hit this level expecting at least 240 players)

Scorekeeper (Relevant Experience Required) - 2 Boxes

Side Events Manager (L2+) - 1.5 Boxes
This judge will be the acting Head Judge of all On Demand Events fired as well as the scheduled pick up events. The will also either act as or assign the HJ of the practise event on the Saturday.

Team Leads
Both main events will have team leads assigned to co-ordinate other judges in ensuring the completion of various tournament tasks. 

Special Circumstances Co-ordinator (L1+)
For this  role we are looking for a judge with good empathy and understanding of the different requirements some players have. It will be part of this role to help with the welcoming of players with special circumstances, the set up of their playspace and co-ordination of this with the scorekeeper and Head Judge and then it will also be their job to check in with these players at the beginning or end of every other round to ensure that their needs are still being met and that athey are having a great time. This role is conducted alongside being a Floor judge on a main event.

Axion Representative (L1+)
This role is one for a judge with great customer service skills, they will be involed in helping with player questions and concerns at the beginning of the day and then they will be in charge of delivering goodies to the Axion Now table at the beginning of each round. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude who will not only be able to be calm and helpful to players with enquiries but also be able to bring a smile to the faces of players in the bottom half of the standings when they're seated at the Axion Now table.  This role is conducted alongside being a Floor judge on a main event.

Standby
Standby judges will receive the usual compensation rate if activated, activation points for standby judges will be released shortly after the staffing is published. Standbys not activated will have the choice of either free main event entry for the Saturday Legacy Masters or the equivilent in Side Event entries. 
It is our aim to avoid needing standby judges for the Sunday given the nature of the event and our increased ability to predict the size.
