NH/VT Conference

We are excited to invite you to the first New Hampshire/Vermont Area Judge Conference.

This conference will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Black Moon Games in Lebanon, NH.  This location is open from 11AM until 6 PM that day.  Our plan is to begin our first presentations at noon and wrap up by 4PM, with extra time for socializing and gaming at the end.

This is a teaching, networking, and social event for judges of all levels and anyone interested in the Magic Judge Program.
Encourage all judge candidates you are mentoring to seek out this JudgeApps event and apply.  Level 1 certification testing may be available; please send an email with your interests.
There are no restrictions on attendance based on level or region - everyone is welcome to attend.


Presenters/Staff
We are looking for one to three judges who are willing to lead discussions and provide presentations to the group.  This is an excellent opportunity to discuss a topic of your interest or expertise, as well as demonstrate your knowledge and hone your presentation and speaking skills.

For potential presenters, consider:

• Best practices for judging at your local game store (LGS)
• Using WER and other online/computing resources
• Tips and techniques for writing tournament reports and reviews
• Becoming a multi-store judge and working for multiple tournament organizers/store owners
• Any other topic which you are knowledgeable or interested.

We are also interested in finding a presenter to run Judge calls live type scenarios in an attached space for small groups.  We would likely run this throughout the day to give all attendees the opportunity to participate.

Unacceptable behavior by attendees, organizers, presenters, volunteers, or other patrons of our venues will not be tolerated.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.


Attendance Capacity
There is a physical limitation of 40 confirmed attendees at the venue.  If this limitation is reached, you will be advised as space becomes available.
As a sign of appreciation, Wizards of the Coast allows us to offer attendees a selection of promotional foil cards, proportional to the number of seminars attended. The exact packet is not known at this time.  These foils are available if you meet the following criteria:

• Register for the conference by applying to this JudgeApps event.
• Be a certified (Level 1 or higher) Judge with a correct level in JudgeApps at the time you apply.
• Be among the first 30 certified judges to do so.
