CZSK Summer Conference 2018

Hello Judges!

We would like to invite you to our CZSK Summer Conference in the beautiful lake resort Senec in Slovakia. We will host this conference from september 7 to september 9. We want to have two parallel seminars, one in Czech or Slovak and one in English.

We will have a Judge tournament on saturday evening sponsored by UltraPRO, we will bring dozens of board games for your entertainment during evenings and we also plan to do an escape room in the venue itself. More about these in Entertainment section.

Arrival time will start Friday afternoon for the classic meet and greet and will also include a dinner, however actual seminars will only be held on Saturday and Sunday. Since the preparation of the program and venue are very much dependent on the number of judges, if you are likely to arrive please apply soon and don't wait for the application deadline as we do have an upper limit (you can always withdraw if needed). 

Seminars

We are looking for presenters! If you want to present some topic, please fill-in that information in the application.

The program is in development and once we will have the schedule it will be made public.

Conference will likely end on sunday around 2 p.m. 

Accomodation + catering

We made a nice deal with venue and thanks to the support from our RC the estimated cost for per person will be at 50€. This includes two nights in the hotel and catering from the friday dinner to the sunday lunch. Please let us know in the application if you have any special requirements (gluten-free diet, vegetarians...)

Further Entertainment

As mentioned before, we will bring dozens of boardgames and we have a few people that know the rules and will gladly help you dive right into a new one.  Please let us know in your application what your favourite game is so that we do not miss it in our „pool“.  These will be available to play every evening  and during lunch breaks.

About the tournament: we will have a Sealed Deck tournament on saturday evening. Entree fee for the tournament will be approximately 15€ and prizes will be sponsored by UltraPRO as well as some nice goodies from CFB and Cloudpost Bratislava.

Escape room...I plan to do an escape room for our Slovakian Nationals...but judges also want to have fun with solving riddles so I want to bring this room to you as well.

And of course the lake, just a few steps from our hotel is a lake where you can go swimming.

Certification process 

We will have test coordinators for L1 and L2. If you are interested in certification please let us know. It is better to inform us sooner for this purpose so that the coordinators can prepare in helping you.

Foil support

In order to receive an attendant’s foil pack, you must:

- Be a certified judge before the start of the event

- Apply in time via JudgeApps

- Actively attend all seminars on Saturday and Sunday (you will receive a proportional part of the attendant’s foil pack, if you don’t attend all the seminars)

- There will be foils for presenters too.
