WER bug when entering results using hot keys

I'm noticing that when I enter results using hot keys, WER occasionally will enter a random result in either the match I'm trying to enter or into a completely different match (more often), which then causes me to question which match I missed when I get a slip later on in the event.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix for it?

Thanks!

There is a setting in WER that lets you change the style of hot keys you are using (DCIR template or WER template). You should first verify that your hot keys are bound to the correct result, other that add this to the list of bugs :/

WER bug when entering results using hot keys

I heard this symptom last weekend from other judges (2 events).

The scorekeeper enter 0-2 and it show 0-2 in the gridview. however, the
bottom of the screen show 0-0 and the recorded result is 0-0.

Shing Nien Fong informed me that highlight at grid view can refresh the
result and this will show the correct result in WER.

I'm not sure whether this is a permanent bug or not since I haven't see
this by myself. However, the HJ should announce at the beginning of each
round to let players aware and check their score at the beginning of the
match. If the problem identify, HJ can either;

1. re-pairing (delete current round pairing and create a new pairing) or
2. if the tournament might delay significantly from 1) and the problem
occur only 1 table in the last round. (eg and the result is 1-2 instead of
2-1). In this case, you can release those 2 tables which affect the problem
and switch the players.

I haven't altered the hot keys to anything other than the default.

I have definitely seen this bug. Also, WER can sometimes hang when it is trying to refresh to update to the server and if you are entering a series of results, you may find that WER pauses and does not catch up so that the results you have been entering are in a queue that will then get “entered” for the wrong players and pairings.
