Double-Faced Cards at Competitive REL Draft
As double-faced cards will be returning in the next limited environment, I wanted to clarify how they function at Competitive REL drafts, especially during top 8. The mtr entry for booster draft procedure mentions that both sides of a DFC are public information and can be shared at any time. At the same time, it mentions that players are expected to take every precaution to keep the contents of their picks hidden. These two lines seem at odds - how was this handled during Innistrad block?
If a drafter at a top 8 opened a Liliana, Heretical Healer and flashed it to the table, would there be a penalty? If a drafter across the table saw the back of the pack of the drafter opposite them and noticed a DFC - assuming there was no attempt to gain hidden information - would there be a penalty?
