PSA: How to handle a draft with DFCs!

This forum is for discussing the article PSA: How to handle a draft with DFCs! by Josh Stansfield

I wanted to start this because a few locals were questioning what to do at drafts for the near future, so when I woke up this morning and saw this pop up, I thought it a spectacular stroke of luck and spread it around to local Facebook groups.

In light of Scott Marshall saying that the rules for this are being reviewed right now ( http://apps.magicjudges.org/forum/topic/26134/ ) I was hoping to get opinions on what I should tell those who ask for now. Should I take my links to this article down or no?

(p.s. if this isn't a proper thing to post/way to ask this question, please do tell me or remove it! I honestly just had a ‘Huh…. Have I made a mistake? =x’ moment upon seeing Scott Marshall's comment on that thread)

My comment was inspired by requests - I think there were multiple requests? - for an “O”fficial answer. Since there's three of us that are Head Judging GPs next weekend, we will agree on an approach for the day two drafts, and I'm happy to share that as soon as possible. But that's mostly a matter of curiosity…

The blog you've linked is much more relevant for the drafts that most judges will actually need to run.

For PPTQ top 8s, a habit that I've picked up is that instead of placing the tables lengthwise (long rectangle), I tend to place them together in a square and place 2 on each side. It's worked well for the last 3 SoI Sealed PPTQs I've head judged, as players are more easily able to see the revealed double faced cards and nobody is at a disadvantage.
