Possibly a good idea to cover Urborg as well?

What happens if a Blood Moon and a Prismatic Omen enter the battlefield simultaneously (e.g., via Replenish)? How do time stamps work in this case?

Active player chooses timestamp.

The art of the Mountain has removed the Basic land supertype, but also has the name mountain. If this was a non-basic land with Blood Moon in play it should still have its original name. OCD etc…

Hi,

Thanks for the quick responses. The article was something that was originally written during Grand Prix Portland last month, when Chris Richter asked me to write up something for the judges based on questions we had been receiving during the event. Urborg/Blood Moon was not covered because it was not something we were running in to during the event. However, I am working on getting something added to the article to cover that interaction.

Diarmuid: David is correct. If two or more objects would receive a timestamp at the same time, the active player gets to choose their timestamp order. This is covered in the comp rules by rule 613.6g.

Quick question,

activated blinkmoth will stop being a creature at the end of turn, right?

Right. The effect is not dependant on the abbility's existence.

Per the comments in this forum (and you thought we didn't listen!), a section Nathan wrote addressing Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and dependency with Blood Moon has been added.

Also, Jason's OCD has been rewarded with a “corrected” Blood Moon mountain image.

Check it out!

It may be worth noting that if a player has a non-Darksteel Citadel artifact land in play, they probably do not have a legal deck (barring Mycosynth Lattice/Silveskin Armor shenanegins). Ancient Den, Great Furnace, Seat of the Synod, Tree of Tales and Vault of Whispers are banned in Modern.

There are 3 cases:

1) If Spreading Seas is enchanting a basic land, then it is an Island. Blood Moon has no effect.

2) If Spreading Seas is enchanting a nonbasic land and entered the battlefield before Blood Moon, then Blood Moon has a later timestamp and the land is a Mountain.

3) If Spreading Seas is enchanting a nonbasic land and entered the battlefield after Blood Moon, then Spreading Seas has a later timestamp and the land is an Island.
