New Conference Projects: Presenter Knowledge Base and Presenters Training Team
Ciao all!
The Judge Conference Standardization Group is launching 2 new exciting projects that aim at providing better conferences to all judges. The number of conferences is rising steadily and more and more presenters are starting to share their knowledge with other judges. We want to focus on improving the quality of these seminars by improving the skills of the presenters!
We are looking for 4-5 professional or very experienced presenters willing to share their skills for the benefit of the education of our judges presenting seminars. We'll make a strict selection since slots are limited and we aim at gathering a solid and dedicated group of people, but don't be scared and apply if you feel you may contribute :)
And now… are you curious? Ok, here are some words about the projects! ;)
——
1) Presenter Knowledge Base
Leader: George Gavrilita
We believe that before even focusing on the content of a specific seminar, there's so much more a Seminar Presenter should feel at ease with.
A judge should grasp the basic format of an efficient presentation; know the tricks of public speaking; know how to engage the audience; understand that people don't listen to what you say, but why you say it, and much more.
We're pooling all this information together because we want to make every single seminar of a Judge Conferences as enjoyable, involving and instructing as possible.
How we're going to do it?
A series of articles written by judges, relying on best practices tried out in our other endeavors, inspiring TED talks and the advice of experts.
All this will also double up as material for the second project we're talking about today, some lines below.
If you have a reason and a way to contribute, don't hesitate to take this call.

2) Presenters Training Team
Leader: Ivan Petkovic
We want to teach Seminar Presenters how to be more engaging and thus transfer their knowledge more easily (nobody learns by watching through 30 slides filled with text).
We'll achieve this goal by running seminars at conferences around the world and webinars accessible on the web. Idea is to work with relatively small number of people (up to 15 per class) so that training is as effective (and personal) as possible. Attending these seminars or webinars will allow participants to see things directly in action and leave with practical points they can implement immediately.
If you believe you have enough knowledge and experience to teach presentation and public speaking skills, please apply. With your application, please send any PowerPoint, Prezi or Keynote presentation that you believe best represents your work.

If you'd like to join, please message either me or George or Ivan (JudgeApps, FB, mail) and let us know your current experience as presenter. The more info you share the better we may fit you in the projects. :)
Thanks and have fun at conferences!
