Change to Judge Foils

I'm sure there are thousands of judges asking this question around the world right now… My Facebook has already exploded with PMs from local judges asking me for answers.

Will foils still be given out at GPs and PTs? (This is already indirectly answered, just want to make it 100% clear).

Any idea what the allocation will be like for these events?

Are there any ideas to avoid feel-bads for judges busting their behinds at events but just not getting noticed?

“Why OH WHY ARE YOU CHANGING THINGS!!?!”

I'm sure all of these concerns and more have already been addressed. Senior-judges are pretty bright people after all. I'm sure we'd all like to know a little bit more.

Cheers.

Change to Judge Foils

As Andy clarified in the Official Announcement thread, foils will (only) be available via Conferences and the Exemplar Program.

Some change is necessary, for a variety of reasons. Rest assured that there's a LOT of effort - already expended, and still to be - ensuring that this program is actually a NET GAIN for judges.

Consider that the Exemplar program will deliver foils to people that couldn't attend GPs. To me, that's a HUGE improvement. But yes, it's also a HUGE change - and change is usually scary.

Adam, you're right about these concerns - and oh so many more - having already been discussed. I think my e-mail folder (for this topic alone!) has already accumulated several hundred messages, just since February.
