Before reading other responses:

Ampharos has committed a GPE - GRV. At this point in the game, it's not DEC. The card Ampharos drew was drawn legally. However, Ampharos has too many cards in hand, and both players know why.

Natu had a chance to catch Ampharos's error, before allowing the game state to advance with the problem, and did not.

Ampharos gets GPE - GRV, with a warning. Natu gets GPE - FtMGS with a warning. The fix is to either rewind to the point of the error, or leave the game state as is. I believe this is simple enough to rewind -

1. Natu re-taps their permanents
2. Ampharos untaps their Alpine Grizzly
3. Move Force Away from graveyard to the stack.
4. We are now in Main Phase 1, in the middle of resolving Force Away. Ampharos discards a card, and play continues from there.

After reading other responses:

I forgot that there's a partial fix for GPE - GRV when a player forgets to draw or discard cards. That partial fix is appropriate here.

As an additional point of discussion - at what point does this error become Drawing Extra Cards? DEC includes the phrase “Additionally, it is Drawing Extra Cards if a player has excess cards in their hand that he or she cannot account for. ”. Several turns later, if Ampharos realizes that they forgot to discard, but Natu doesn't recall, would you call that DEC?

A reminder for everyone, from The Knowledge Pool protocol:

"Please don’t add tweaks to the scenarios, try to stay on topic, don’t add “what ifs” or throw wrenches into the scenarios. Your local community or events is a great place to expand on situations presented in The Knowledge Pool."

Thank you to everyone who participated in this week’s scenario! Here is the solution:

It will be a GPE-GRV for Ampharos and a GPE-FtMGS for Natu, so both players will get a Warning. We will apply the partial fix here and have Ampharos discard a card for the Force Away, then allow them to continue playing after reminding Ampharos to be more careful in the future.

Why isn’t it a rewind? Since the new IPG update, we now regard rewinds as a last resort method. Since there is a partial fix for this situation, we will apply that instead of a rewind.

Good job to everyone, and thanks again for participating! Keep an eye out for our next scenario – it will be posted soon! :)
