I have a question about the Premier Event part of the GPT solicitation fact sheet.

Its written:-

Premier Event — Tournament Officials (Store owner, organizer, Judges, and/or Scorekeeper) may NOT
play in the event.

If the shop is run by a group of partners, would the sleeper partners (those not running in the day to day operation), will they be allowed to participate in their own store's GPT?

Thanks!

I'm fairly sure that, in similar situations, one store partner has run the event while one or more of the others has played.

However, I strongly recommend you contact your WPN rep to ensure that you won't invalidate the event, BEFORE you run it that way.

I don't have exact details, but it is important to know that the owner of
the store cannot play in Premier events regardless if they are the
Tournament Organizer or not. If you are not sure if someone is considered
an owner, then check with WPN rep. This is a big reason why GPTs are
invalidated, so don't let owners play in them.

I don't have the exact details too as I wasn't around, but I heard of this
situation from my friend and it lead me to this question.

He was planning to play in his own GPT too.

So, I just want to confirm both situations, and I'm not too sure whether
its right for me to ask the WPN rep about the 1st situation.

For the 2nd situation, the best I can do is to advise the player to check
with the WPN rep.

Thanks !

I should clarify my comment, just a bit - I've heard about situations where people played in “their own” events, but I don't know if their event ended up being invalidated, or not. That's why it's important to ask first!
