Controlling another player and a missed trigger. Detrimental???

So with the update in policy it's the player who controls the other player who is now responsible for the triggers for that player. So the question now is what determines if a trigger is detrimental in that case?

So would a trigger that gains that player life now be considered detrimental to the player who controls the other player, even though it's the controlled player that controls the trigger? What about a trigger that would normally be detrimental, like requiring the controlled player to sacrifice a creature?

Another question about potentially detrimental triggers (concerning Inventors' Fair) was asked a couple weeks ago, with no ‘o’fficial answer given yet. I'm curious too, but so far there's nothing definitive.

Thanks for the reminder, Matt (and Cris!) - not sure how I lost track of that one.

And now, the answer's posted there, too: http://apps.magicjudges.org/forum/post/196395/

I'll go ahead and shut down this redundant thread.
