Being entered as both judge and player for the same event?

I was judging at a FNM last week. I also wanted to play in the FNM, which should not have been an issue as the tournament was run at regular REL. However, the head judge could not figure out how to add me as a player in the DCI software after I had been listed as a judge, so I judged but did not play.

Will someone please share the steps required to be entered as both a judge and a player in a regular REL tournament so I don't have this issue again?

The default is for WER to only show unenrolled players in the local player
database tab. If you select “all” or “judges” on that tab then you should
appear. Alternatively you can just enter your DCI number directly on the
players tab.

Was the TO trying to enter you from the Local Players Database? The
database is filtered into three sections, Enrolled, Unenrolled, and Judges.
If you're entered as a Judge, WER will only display you in the Judges tab.
Alternatively, just enter your DCI number in the Players tab.

Make sure that they are running WER for their tournaments, as DCIR does not allow someone to be listed as Judge and Player in the same event.

To enroll a judge as a player in a Magic event, there are 2 options. Please first make sure it is a regular event, as judges are not allowed to play in competetive events they are actively judging.

Method 1: From the ‘Local Players’ tab, select the radio button ‘All’ instead of ‘Unenrolled’. This will show all players in the local file, whether they are already enrolled as player or judge, or not enrolled at all. Now, all judges are shown highlighted, and you can enroll as normal.

Method 2: From the ‘Players’ tab, simply enter your own DCI number.

The error seemed to be using the local players tab. I'll input my number manually next time. Thanks for your help everyone!
