On behalf of the JudgeApps Developers, we're announcing a change to how new user accounts on this site are approved. In the past, those accounts had to be approved with the assistance of either Judge Center or (since it went offline) Wizards of the Coast. However, the list of new accounts has become significantly backlogged, so we're rolling out a new tool on JudgeApps to allow Level 2 judges to approve new user accounts.
The
full announcement, and a detailed tutorial, is online on our blog.
If you are an L2 judge who knows either a new L1, or a judge candidate, who needs their account approved, you can now visit
a new page on the site, enter the candidate's name or DCI number, verify their information, and approve the account. If the DCI number, or any other information, isn't correct, you can
contact Account Assistance. This is the most important part, because once the account is approved, some information (including DCI number) can only be changed by a site admin!
If you aren't an L2 judge, but you are working with a Judge Candidate who needs their account approved, we encourage you to contact any local L2 or L3, who are now able to verify the account information and approve the account.
If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to contact me, or any other JudgeApps admin.
