Hi. Not sure if this is the correct forum, but just wanted to check for a “second opinion”/be definitively told wrong.

What is the required # of rounds for a WPN Preliminary with 410+ players that is only looking for a Top 32?

Does it still follow MTR Appendix E? Appendix E specifies Premier tournaments “(such as WPNQs)” which obviously require a Top 8 playoff. Is the Preliminary considered a Premier tournament for this purpose?
(Nvm, just reread 1.4. Does that therefore mean that the Preliminary requires a Top 8 playoff?)

Incidentally would anyone know when a new PEIP is expected?

I believe WPN Preliminaries specifics depend on your region, so your regional Wizards Play Network contact would be a very good contact for that. Maybe propose an idea you have how to run so they can just say “yeah, you can run it that way”.
