DCI Number - Sensitive information

Hello!

Is a player's DCI Number considered sensitive? Is it OK to print it in pairings (for other players to see)? Or show it in an event coverage on Internet?

Is there any policy regarding this?

Actually, I can think of some stupid ways how to abuse this knowledge (but I do not think anyone will be stupid enough to try them :-D).

I wouldn't hand out that info to just anyone who asks, but it's OK if a DCI number is visible - on pairings, a result slip, etc.

Thanks, got that. But isn't providing the DCI# in a coverage practically the same as “handing out that info to just anyone who asks”?

I don't think I've ever seen DCI Number published as part of coverage, and I agree - that's not a good idea.
