Is it possible to print standings of previous rounds in WER? Or at least to get WER to show those standings on the screen?
For example, again print final swiss standings after you have already cut to top 8 and already entered results? Or print final standings after swiss of a tournament that has already ended?

Not as far as I know (I'd like the capability as well), but I have a sort-of workaround for a common case that may be useful: If you want swiss standings after you've started the playoffs, you could print the standings for all players, not just the currently enrolled players. You'll get a few players in that list that have dropped before the swiss ended, but they'll mostly be far down on the list. Not perfect, but it's an “80% solution” that has worked for me in the past.

The problem I keep having is knowing what the standings for the top8
players was as I keep forgetting to record that to use for the top8
play/draw rule.

Ernst, yup, that idea would work reasonably well (unless I wanted to publish those standings, in which case they should definitely not include dropped players). In this particular case the tournament had already been finished and reported, and the TO asked me for the standings of the top 8 after swiss. So, with mush wailing and gnashing of teeth, I took the final standings of all players, and then worked back from them based on the top 8 matches.

You could try deleting rounds till you get to your desired round, then
printing standings. Since you only want to delete top 8, fixing th'event
afterwards in your case shouldn't be a problem. =)
