Tenement Crasher and the combat phase.

Aoi says “I would like to go to the combat phase”. Nene uses Debtor's Pulpit and says “tap your 3/3 centaur”. Aoi taps the centaur, plays Tenement Crasher and attacks with it.
Nene calls a judge. She thought Aoi wanted to go to the declare attackers step and passed priority in the beginning of combat step, but Aoi's intention was to go to the combat phase and pass priority to Nene in the precombat main phase.
How to resolve this?

(The tournament shortcut says:
A statement such as “I'm ready for combat” or “Declare attackers?” offers to keep passing priority until an opponent has priority in the beginning of combat step. Opponents are assumed to be acting then unless they specify otherwise.)

Tenement Crasher and the combat phase.

Aoi is mistaken, he is in the Combat Phase with a tapped Centaur. Teach him about the standard shortcut, put the Tenement Crasher back in hand (untap the mana), and carry on with the Combat Phase.
